Bat-Aid Revitalises Old Batteries & Prolong The Life Of A New Battery
How it works:
During the normal charge and discharge cycle, lead sulphate is deposited on both the positive and negative plates of your battery. When this sulphate becomes hard and loses its ability to be recharged, both the capacity and the life of your battery are slowly reduced. Bat-Aid tablets have been scientifically developed to discourage the formation of these hard lead sulphates and they have been for more than 20 years successfully extending the useful life of batteries all over the world.
To Use: Make sure the electrolyte is at the correct level and then add Bat-Aid as follows:-
Failing Batteries: An initial dose of two tablets per cell. Then one tablet per cell every three months.
Old Batteries: Four tablets per cell initially plus a slow charge. The one tablet per cell every three months.
Batteries In Good Condition: One tablet per cell every three months will discourage the formation of harmful lead sulphate deposits.
From a customer:
I knew I had 3 dead cells in my battery bank and saw this product which is tablets you add them to the dead cells. I was a little sceptical but thought it worth a go.
I charged the batteries then tested each cell in turn with a hydrometer which shows the SG and has red orange and green on the scale, all the cells were just on the green except the 3 which were right off the red so I assumed completely dead. I added 2 tablets each then checked the faulty cells today this being 3 weeks later, they are all charged up to the same point as the other cells, so was quite pleased, and it aprears to have worked.
